Dispersing light!
Mediation is at the heart of learning. We must teach children how to learn for themselves, how to think about their thinking and how to use this learning process for every part of their lives. Dr. Reuven Feuerstein developed the theory of Mediated Learning Experience, Structural Cognitive Modifiability and Cognitive Functions to pave the way to effective learning.
We are excited to share this theme at our 22nd annual conference! As educators we act as mediators dispersing light. We stand with our students as the prism discerning, interpreting, making sense of the world so that our student can see and experience the beauty in the world around them.
We will have the privilege of hearing speakers from the Feuerstein Institute and our own NILD friends, Dr. Kristin Barbour and Lorri Wilke, who have been trained by them! Get ready to receive light and disperse light, so you can offer hope and help to your students.
