Decades of research indicates the value of a “preventive” approach to dealing with potential learning problems in the future. NILD Canada provides help for young students (K – Grade 2) through an early identification and intervention program called Search and Teach. This program is geared to meet the needs of young learners that you teach before they experience the frustration of learning failure.

Here is a testimonial from a teacher who is using the Search and Teach program in her school.
Search and Teach is an excellent program that I have used for at least 6 years in a school setting. It has been adopted by my school as their kindergarten assessment. Each year as students turn 5 they are each asked to come play some games (where the SEARCH component is administered). This assessment provides a good indication of an area or areas that may be weak for the child. Not only does the assessment pinpoint weaknesses but also the student’s strengths. With all the activities provided in the TEACH component of the kit it is easy to map out a unique program for each student that has been identified with a weakness. In our experience we have found that the early intervention helps children enjoy success.
We encourage you to sign up for this valuable course that will benefit your early learners and steer them on the road to success!
